Product Engineer

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Project Engineer for direct-hire in Saginaw!

Pay rate of $85k-$90k with a typical schedule of 45-50 hours/week during regular daytime business hours. Benefits include health insurance, 401k, PTO, holiday pay, hybrid schedule, and more.

In this role, you will:
- Work with specs for company’s products and adhere to company protocols and standards.
- Maintain logs, charts, calculations, etc. of mechanical components.
- Analyze and run calculations on equipment, and create instructions on new products.
- Generate cost savings and product improvements on an ongoing basis. - Understand wastewater treatment process for company products.
- Determine targets, parameters, etc. on new products that can be documented for sales and production.
- Demonstrate strong mechanical engineering aptitude including technical reports.
- Help implement new products and technology.
- Be available to travel to client sites for service, development, and testing of product after sale completion.
- Create quality control procedures in line with ISO900-2015 standards as well as other engineering processes.
- Exhibit professional communication skills including verbal, written, and computer-based with both internal personnel and external clients.
- Collaborate effectively with your team to solve problems as they arise.
- Maintain driver’s license and good driving record for travel needs.

To qualify for this position, you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with ABET accreditation or an engineering degree along with the required experience and skills.
- Have 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Be proficient in SolidWorks or similar program and MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Be proficient in understanding mechanical blueprints, machine design, and mechanical concepts with experience solving mechanical engineering problems.
- Have first-hand experience in designing entire machine systems (preferred) or at minimum their components.
- Be able to solve design issues both at the home office and on site at customer location.
- Be able to utilize advanced problem solving techniques.
- Have experience in reducing costs of existing product lines.
- Have strong experience in machine design.
- Have experience with fluid dynamics.
- Have experience with FEA analysis.
- Be familiar with designing with stainless steels.
- Be knowledgeable in controls and electrical components.
- Have basic welding and fabrication knowledge.
- Have a meticulous attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Employ excellent interpersonal skills both with internal team members and customers.
- Take initiative and ownership of your work, and maintain sound time management.
- Be able to collaborate effectively with your team.
